Euro Towers Seals P50M Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Philippines revealed its partnership with real estate developer Euro Towers recently during its 30th anniversary celebration at the Apo View Hotel in Davao City.

Habitat for Humanity was looking for an experienced developer to help them elevate the quality of the homes that they offer to their target communities. Euro Towers, meanwhile, was in sincere search of a partner for a joint effort to reach more families and their surrounding communities.

As it is, the collaboration stands to benefit both organizations and those they wish to serve.

Engr. Roy Estanislao, Euro Towers’ Director of Construction and Development Group, said in an interview that Euro Towers has committed to invest a total of P50 million for a socialized housing project under its partnership with Habitat for Humanity. The company has also pledged support to the efforts of Habitat for Humanity Philippines over the next five years.

While Habitat for Humanity Philippines has already led the construction of quality and decent homes for thousands of families around the country, it knew it had to keep building better. Both the know-how and the monetary pledge of Euro Towers will be used to uplift the lives of many more Filipinos.

Forging a partnership between two experts

Euro Towers has been known for innovation, for bringing the best ideas into the Philippine real estate market, and for building high-rise condominiums in prime locations. This is the real estate firm’s first partnership with Habitat for Humanity since its foundation in 2010. The property developer has chosen to support the organization as they share the same value for family and homeownership. Engr. Estanislao mentioned that going into a partnership with a non-governmental organization that provides the less-fortunate with decent homes is “something that is of a worthy cause and is something that we (Euro Towers) will surely support.”

A timeline for the completion of the socialized housing project is in the planning stages between Habitat for Humanity Philippines and Euro Towers executives.

Aside from its ongoing construction of Vivaldi Residences Davao, Euro Towers is also in the process of starting another residential development within the vicinity of the Apo View Hotel.

Accounting Supervisor

Job Function:
  1. Review, verify and certify the request for payment, petty cash replenishment, check vouchers, journal vouchers to ensure the validity of the transaction.
  2. Check and post transaction entries in ACCPAC prior to preparation of payment.
  3. Assist the Accounting Manager in the maintenance of the accounting system such as: add/edit Chart of Accounts, Project and Vendor codes and Lock/unlock periods.
  4. Prepare the Profit and Loss Report every month and prepare the Income Tax Return on a quarterly and annual basis.
  5. Coordinate with the external auditor for the annual audit requirements and in charge of BOI and other government reportorial requirements.
  6. Supervise Accounting Staff to ensure that accounting procedures, systems, and controls are consistently implemented and act as the Department Head when the Accounting Manager is not around.
Job Qualification:
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • With three (3) years work experience in General/Cost Accounting
  • Work experience in real estate/property development is an advantage.

Technical Auditor

Job Function:
  1. Conducts compliance audit regularly to ensure adherence to approved policies and procedures for Design and Construction.
  2. Review of submitted project completion percentages used as basis for progress billings by contractors.
  3. Conducts inventory and review of the handling /control procedures for Owner Supplied Materials.
  4. Reconciles contract pricing to final construction plans.
  5. Performs detailed audits to confirm compliance with contracts, change orders and purchase orders.
  6. Collates summary of findings, causes, recommendation and action plans and prepare & submit audit report to Immediate Superior for review.
Job Qualification:
  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • With three (3) years work experience.
  • Preferably with work experience in real estate/property development.

Manual Writer

Job Function:
  1. Writes, formats, and maintains company operations manual.
  2. Assist with developing, documenting, updating and maintaining documentation for various systems and departmental processes, policies and procedures
  3. Collaborate with appropriate team members or managers in documenting requirements, creating manuals and training aides.
Job Qualification:
  • Graduate of any four (4) year course.
  • With minimum of two (2) years work experience in writing/revising policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications required.
